A Phra Yai Buddhist temple, built in the 1970s, housing a monumental seated Buddha statue...

The Phra Yai Buddhist Temple has become a landmark on the island since its construction in the early 1970s. At its foot are dwellings for the monks, as well as shops and restaurants for visitors. The monumental statue, which gave its name to the beach, is located on an islet accessible by a breakwater. It is impossible not to spot the statue of the Buddha, in a sitting position looking east, with its 12 meters height.

Un incontournable de samui. Très grande statue avec parking à l'entrée ainsi que des boutiques et des habitations pour des moines que vous pouvez voire pendant leurs prières suivant vos heures de visite. Il y a une très belle vue la bas.
