This bay is located at the southernmost tip of Koh Chang, on the western side. It's a mangrove where sandy areas are rare and narrow. Bang Bao is the fishermen's stronghold, with a village on stilts at the end of the bay. There are restaurants and a few overpriced stores. Most of the island's diving clubs have a reception area on site for their clients, before they embark for Koh Kood or the surrounding islets. The place no longer corresponds to the romantic image of the "end of the world", but it's still a pleasant place to discover. A little further east is Klong Koi Beach, ideal for swimming and lounging.
