The town is located in the north-west of the Typical, between the Brayaud territory and the Plateau plateau. A strong city in the th century, it was murée until the th century. The relics of Saint Genis are preserved in the very remaniée Romanesque church in the th century. The town hall has a beautiful façade with stone staircase and balcony. It occupies the old castle of the Capponi, a family that lived in this residence in the th century and whose memories remain mentioned in some rooms. See also Place des Halles and a tonneau fountain.
