Situated about 30 kilometres south-east of Bangkok, this city is known for its miniature reproductions of the most famous Thai monuments: an attraction on the programme of all the capital's tourist agencies. You can easily make these excursions during the day and independently if you wish, since it is easy to get there. Several buses go to Samut Prakan, but most of them do not have numbers in English. Private buses also make the trip several times a day. It is also possible to go to the BTS On Nut station and then take either a bus or a taxi.
