On the edge of Lago Lácar, the small town has preserved its Andean charm carried by its wooden constructions and its beautiful panoramas. Its tourist development, quite recent and quite considerable too, has imposed itself as an alternative to the too chic Bariloche. Many Argentines prefer to come and ski at Cerro Chapelco. For foreign tourists, the interest of passing through San Martín is to reach the entrance of the Lanín Park. The sublime route marks the end of the Seven Lakes Route.
