18 km from the village of El Bolsón, this park is located in the territory of the province of Chubut. The turquoise waters of the lake are a paradise for fishermen and campers, the view is sublime and offers a beautiful panorama of the Chilean mountains. Created in 1937, it was part of the Los Alerces National Park under the name "Anexo Puelo" until 1971, when it was declared an independent national park. It is located in the extreme northwest of the province of Chubut and shares a border with Chile. Its 27,675 hectares of mountainous landscapes are sublimated by the shades of green of the Valdivian forests. The park offers a wide variety of hiking and trekking trails, which last from half an hour to six days.
