Córdoba has a population of approximately 1.65 million inhabitants (Cordobeses), making it the second largest city in the country after the capital. It is an important cultural, economic and financial center for the country. It is famous for its colonial architecture, especially the Manzana Jesuitica (a Unesco World Heritage Site), a historic district that includes the Universidad National de Córdoba, founded in 1613, the oldest in the country and one of the oldest in the continent. Despite the weight of its history, Córdoba is a dynamic city and always very student-oriented. This is one of the reasons why there are many places to go out.
