IGLESIA DE LA CRUZ DE LOS MILAGROS

This is where the Miracle Cross, which measures 3.75 meters, was transferred, a symbol of the foundation of the city, which was originally on Punta Arazaty. Legend has it that when the rebellious Indians tried to burn it, it remained indestructible. The church destined to receive this Miracle Cross was first built in the 18th century, then in 1808, 1845 and 1897. Finally, in 1939, the provincial government laid the foundation stone for the fifth construction.
