Victoria, a city of 30,000 inhabitants, emerged from its lethargy in 2003 thanks to the inauguration of the Rosario-Victoria Bridge, which connects it to the nearby large city. The indigenous Charrúas who inhabited the area were massacred here in 1750. Many immigrants of Basque origin settled here, followed by the Genoese, then the Spaniards and Italians. One can admire the beautiful wrought iron gates. At first simple, they became more complex with the arrival of the Italians, before the French influence was felt in the 1920s. You will find the tourist office at the corner of 25 de Mayo Street and Eva Perón Boulevard.
