The most beautiful way to approach Châteauneuf-les-Bains is to arrive by the D122, which passes by Blot-l'Eglise: the road all in twists and turns, rather vertiginous, overhangs the gorges of Sioule and offers an impregnable view on the wooded cliffs, from where some rocky spurs emerge. In autumn, the panorama explodes with colour. A little out of time and out of the world, Châteauneuf-les-Bains is full of pretty walks and paths around the river. As its name suggests, it is a thermal centre and has been since Antiquity. Its current thermal baths border the Sioule river, where rheumatism, osteoarthritis and arthritis are treated, or where people come for a quiet cure.
