HOODS TOWER NAVAL MUSEUM

The Navy base houses this museum with a 360 degree view of the harbour and bay. The museum's exhibits cover several periods of history, from the 18th century to the present day. Regarding the last conflict with the LTTE rebels, you can see an important collection of weapons and means of transport, including a pocket submarine, which was confiscated from them. It's a pity that the exorbitant price of the entrance will discourage many people! On site, the Navy also offers the possibility of taking a cruise in the bay on one of its patrol boats.
