Rakov Skocjan Nature Park, 5 km west of Cerknica. Here's a natural site that may not look like much, but it's well worth the detour! Close to Postojna but so far from its hustle and bustle, the Rakov Skočjan valley is one of the jewels of the Karst. The Rak river flows through a succession of chasms and natural bridges. The hike begins as the Rak emerges from the caves. Zelške passes under Mali Naravni Most (the small natural bridge) before entering a new cave. This first short circuit allows you to walk on the natural bridge, then descend into the chasms and pass under the arch. This gives you a better understanding of the Karst's limestone geology.
