The Grand Hotel Portorož café is open to all. Its large room with a beautiful glass vault is much appreciated on rainy days or when it's too cool to sit out on the terrace. The snack bar offers a variety of pizzas and sandwiches, as well as several savory tarts and salads, while the café gourmands menu is very tempting and varied: plenty of fruity tarts, also with chocolate, caramel, almond, etc., macaroons, cakes, sponge cakes or ice creams. The master pastry chef also caters for people with food intolerances.

It's the restaurant of the Kempinski palace-hotel, as much a Mecca of gastronomy, which has been awarded a Michelin plate. Inspired by the Italian film diva, it is named after Sophia Loren. Here, you'll find traditional transalpine recipes, concocted with products from the region's seaside or terroir.
