One of Boracay's first hotels, opened over 40 years ago. Roger Deparis (a Frenchman) regrets those blessed days when the beach was virgin (the main road was then a buffalo trail) and there was no electricity. His hotel, located right in the middle of the beach close to all the bars and activities, retains a little of that old-fashioned atmosphere. Restaurant on the beach, rooms upstairs and (more interestingly, because it's quieter) bungalows at the back, in a vast, exuberant garden. The whole is a little dated, but correct.

The rooms and dormitories are fairly simple but clean and well-maintained. The garden has been laid out as a place to relax and eat, with cushions, small tables and a few plants. Halfway between an inn and a bed & breakfast, this friendly establishment is perfect for groups of friends.

Diniview Villa Resort is elegantly perched on a hill between the beaches of Diniwid, a five-minute walk away, and White Beach, a ten-minute walk away. From the top, the views and sunsets are nothing short of spectacular! The eight generously proportioned villas are discreetly luxurious and sophisticated, their decor both sober and refined. One of the island's oldest hotels, it has been located on the edge of White Beach since 1985. In other words, it's had plenty of time to build up a reputation, and the good news is that it's an excellent one! Bans Beach Resort offers simple, well-maintained and fairly comfortable rooms scattered around a pretty communal garden. Despite this, the resort is well located, just a few meters from the beach but in a quiet area. The staff are very helpful, the welcome very friendly and the atmosphere relaxed. Definitely one of the best value for money.
