Located 16 km south of Herment on the D 987, at the edge of Auvergne and Limousin, Bourg-Lastic offers an exceptional geographical location with rivers, gorges, forests, pond and puy du Préchonnet. Hiking is pleasant. Bourg-Lastic is very old. From the Middle Ages there is only the church that was enlarged several times. On July 15, the population gathered in front of a monument in memory of 23 men in the country killed by the Germans after they were attacked by the maquisists.
