It is ideally located just behind the Ayala shopping mall, in the heart of Cebu's financial district. Guests have access to a health club, spa, tennis court, international restaurant (weekend buffets) and swimming pool with its own bar for cocktails and tapas. An excellent address.

A successful stay guaranteed in this bucolic oasis in the city. The beautiful property, which brilliantly blends old-world charm, Hispanic heritage and modernity, is surrounded by four hectares of lush gardens and two swimming pools. The rooms are a little old-fashioned (or kitsch?), but at the same time cosy and comfortable. We also appreciate the helpfulness of the staff. A special mention for the breakfast buffet, which will delight even the most demanding gourmets! A serene address in the heart of bustling Cebu.

The rooms, well kept, are very suitable for the price. Beautiful rooftop swimming pool for relaxing, restaurant and laundry service. The staff is considerate. Good value for money.

This hotel, which is a little eccentric, offers rooms with air conditioning, cable TV, telephone and private health (hot water). They are very colourful, well maintained and functional. Coffee shop downstairs serving pastries and ice cream, plus a pleasant restaurant.

This youth hostel is THE meeting place for backpackers in Cebu! If you're looking for a place with a young and often (very) festive atmosphere, you're in for a treat: a lively rooftop bar and swimming pool (unfortunately temporarily closed), communal areas decorated in an industrial style and a restaurant serving rather good food. The rooms and dormitories (mixed or for women) are simple but decent, and the staff are welcoming and dynamic. Perfect for meeting other travelers.

There's a useful coworking space if you need to work or schedule the rest of a trip, the washrooms are functional and the staff are friendly. The Daily Grind, the adjoining café-restaurant, has a pretty roof terrace. A practical address for a transitional night before a flight, ferry or bus.

Although this charming hotel, with its American motel feel, is in need of a little refreshment, it is centrally located for exploring the capital of the Visayas. The 52 rooms are in their original state, but they are fairly well kept, with air conditioning, wi-fi connection and a functional private bathroom. The Beverly offers good value for money.

Close to the ferry terminals to the surrounding islands (20 minutes on foot; 5 minutes by cab), this yellow-fronted hotel is a very convenient address if you have an early boat departure. The rooms are spacious, clean and the bedding is comfortable. The bathroom and shower work well (there's hot water!). A wifi connection that holds up and as a bonus each room has a balcony. The place is a little bit noisy but it remains a simple and efficient address that we validate. Excellent value for money.

Located in the heart of the city, close to the Mactan canal, this large Sugbutel hotel chain establishment will delight budget travellers. For dormitories: you rent a bed, and that's it. The dormitories are air-conditioned, and soap, shampoo and towels are available for a modest extra charge. We like the rooftop penthouse with panoramic views over the city and the simple but well-kept double rooms. It looks like a real hotel, but it's more like a youth hostel.

Located in the heart of Cebu, overlooking the Mactan Canal, this top-class establishment remains true to the quality standards of the Radisson hotel chain. All the usual comforts and professional service make this 5-star address unquestionably one of the best in Cebu City, for both business travellers and discerning tourists. Three restaurants cater for all tastes (Japanese, Filipino, Indian...). A relaxing break in a setting of luxury and refinement. Recommended.

This family-run hotel is conveniently located just a 10-minute walk from the Ayala Center and SM City. It offers simple but clean rooms and pleasant common areas. The restaurant is popular and has a friendly atmosphere. Those nostalgic for Western food can come here for fish and chips and advice from Anglo-Saxon expats. The staff could be more accommodating. But it's the excellent value for money and the convenient central location that really stand out.

For those looking for centrally located accommodation to make the most of Cebu's vibrant attractions, Fuente Pension is the perfect address. This budget hotel is popular for its good value and its location in the heart of Uptown. Nothing ostentatious, but all rooms (from two to six people) are air-conditioned and have a bathroom with hot water. There's a rooftop bar where you can enjoy a drink and a snack. Please note that street-facing rooms can be a little noisy.
