It's a village of "squatters." They built their huts on the shores of the Philippines Sea, on piles and on government public lands. The village is a-minute walk from the centre of Legaspi. It includes a small fish market. The people are mainly concerned with fishing. On the return of fishermen, around 18 p. m., women and children generally to assist in the unloading and sorting of fish. The community spirit is very developed. Huts are planted in the brackish waters of the lagoon. Frequented by few tourists passing through, the picturesque village has remained intact.
