Located at the foot of the Bulgan mountain, a little less than 450 km from Ulaanbaatar, surrounded by granite cliffs and crossed by a river lined with trees, the capital ofAymag is a pleasant little town located at an altitude of 1,691 meters. In Mongolian, "Tsetserleg" means "garden". If it is difficult to speak about "flowery city", the city is undoubtedly one of the most pleasant to live in Mongolia. At the meeting of many roads, it can serve as a restful stopover to the "Mongolian blue pearl", Lake Khovsgol, 400 km to the north, or to the eternal Kharkhorin and its monastery Erdene Zuu, 100 km to the east. The city is well-proportioned and visitors can easily get from one point of interest to another on foot. All around the center, the yurts of the popular districts seem to roll down the hills.
