As its name suggests, this museum traces the history of the city of Ulaanbaatar from 1639 to the present day. To observe in particular, a large painting of the beginning of the XXth century proposing a broad panorama of the capital. It is good to play the guessing game trying to recognize the monuments, such as the Winter Palace of Bogd Khan. The maps and photos are particularly interesting. The museum is small, so it takes only half an hour to visit it.
