Chapel registered in the Portuguese overseas registers and designed by Manuel Francisco Lisboa, Aleijadinho's own father.
The first chapel of Nossa Senhora da Conceiçao was built in 1699. In 1707, the Portuguese overseas registers note "the appointment of the first parish priest of the Freguesia de Nossa Senhora da Conceição de Vila Rica and of the old Antônio Dias district", which was built between 1727 and 1760, designed by Manuel Francisco Lisboa, Aleijadinho's own father. The tombs of these men are in the church (Aleijadinho's is under the altar of N.S. de Boa Morte).
