With nearly 10,000 inhabitants, Alaior is the third largest urban centre on the island. The city was founded by King James II of Aragon at the beginning of the 14th century. Apart from the fortified Baroque church of Santa Eulàlia and the Claustre de Sa Lluna, the cloister of the former Franciscan convent of Sant Dídac d'Alaior, both from the seventeenth century, this large white village does not offer any major tourist interest. Nevertheless, you will find it pleasant to stroll through its narrow streets or to sit in the shade of the trees in its small squares.
