On the same road as Cala Morell is Cala Algaiarens, one of the most beautiful coves on the island. Here, a stream born in the valley of La Vall crosses a gorge before melting into the crystal clear water of one of the two fine sandy beaches - separated from each other by a small hill - that make up the whole cala. Surrounded by pristine dunes, this stretch of coastline is a protected area. You can leave your car in one of the two car parks (one 300m away, the other 500m from the beach), but it is usually crowded in summer. Try to arrive early, and remember to bring food and water
