The Torre d'Es Castellar is one of a series of defensive buildings constructed by the British (between 1799 and 1802) during their presence on the island. It is particularly noteworthy for its circular architecture surrounded by a six-metre wide moat. The tower itself is eight metres high and has twelve loopholes on the ground floor. It is also distinguished by the atypical way in which the access was conceived here: it is by a corridor buried in the ground that the soldiers entered.

La visite de ce lieu, hormis la tour qui est très emblématique, permet de découvrir la calanque de Sa Caleta et ses magnifiques eaux. La côte est très belle à cet endroit. Peu de de personne prenne la peine de venir jusque là, ce qui fait son charme.
