This imposing bastion is one of the few remaining vestiges of the 17th-century wall that once surrounded the town of Ciutadella. Although its origins date back to the 14th century, after the city became part of the Catalan-Aragonese Crown, the wall was largely rebuilt after the Turkish invasions of 1558, albeit along its original line. Overlooking the harbor, the bastion offers visitors a breathtaking view of its sparkling waters. The town hall is now housed within these ancient ramparts.
