Binibèquer went from being a small traditional fishing village to a tourist center when it was re-urbanized in 1972, trying to imitate the typical architecture of Menorca. Its white houses with carved wooden balconies lining the labyrinthine streets of the village, its typical Menorcan chimneys and its narrow streets winding like a labyrinth and then running towards the sea appear on countless postcards. There are some good restaurants here, such as the Club Nautico Binisafua (which is not a sailing club), or Los Bucaneros or Paupa, with their terraces by the water.
