This cultural, scientific and literary center of the city houses an excellent collection of ceramics, paintings and other works of art.
L'Ateneu de Maó is the town's cultural, scientific and literary center. In addition to a library on Minorcan subjects and an incredible taxidermy collection, it houses an excellent collection of 16th and 17th century ceramics, cartographic engravings and paintings. Numerous activities are organized here, mainly conferences on scientific, artistic and cultural subjects, but also screenings and concerts. See the program on the website.
