Discover this neoclassical town hall of the XVIIth century whose tower is decorated with an English clock of the XVIIIth century
This 17th-century neoclassical town hall was built here, on the Plaça de la Constitució, in 1613. The tower of this imposing building is adorned with a magnificent 18th-century English clock, donated by the British governor, Richard Kane, in 1731. Later, in 1789, the building underwent major facade renovations. The engineer Francisco Fernández de Angulo based his reform on French-influenced Baroque decoration. Inside, the Salon Noble and the Galerie des Illustres Minorquins are well worth a visit.
