Museum allowing to discover what formerly shaped the life of the people of the Vellave high plateau, in the villages.
Established in a former priory dependent on the Chaise-Dieu, transformed in the 15th century into a typical Velay stronghold and then further modified over time, the building is striking for its particular character. This museum devotes several rooms to popular arts and traditions. One discovers there what formerly, shaped the life of the people of the high plateau vellave, in the boroughs and the villages. In addition to the permanent exhibition, there are rooms for temporary exhibitions of contemporary art.
