Going down the valley, 3 km away, the port of Sóller (3,000 inhabitants) can be found along a large semicircular bay, very well protected from the wind and the bustle of the sea. As one of the first seaside resorts on the island, it has a few old-fashioned buildings and a very family atmosphere. A small old-fashioned tramway continues, since the opening of the area to tourism, to connect Sóller to its port every 30 minutes. The walk along the paseo de la playa is very pleasant. From Port de Sóller, you can make boat trips to Sant Elm, Cala Tuent, Cala Deià, Sa Caldera and Puerto de Valldemossa.
