On Sunday of May, an ancient miracle is celebrated in Santa Eularia. For the occasion, the city is full of joyful activities.
In Ibiza there is a mountain called S'Eglésia Vella. Legend has it that once upon a time there was a small church on top of this mountain (hence the name). One day, at the end of mass, the church and its bell tower suddenly collapsed and fell into the sea. Everyone came out safe and sound. This event was considered a miracle. Having taken place on the first Sunday of May, this date is celebrated every year since then. One of the most popular holidays on the island!
