The small village of Sant Jordi de Ses Salines, part of the municipality of Sant Josep de Sa Talaia, on the road between the airport and Ses Salines, boasts a beautiful 15th-century fortified church (l'église de Sant Francesc), well worth a visit. This small village, with its ever-increasing number of buildings, lies at the crossroads of several roads. Every Saturday, a market is held at the racecourse, where you can stock up on produce. Also worth seeing is the Es Carregador defence tower: a few metres after the traffic circle, take the road to the Sal Rossa cove, and you'll find it at the end of the road.
