Malindi is the largest city on the coast after Mombasa. At the end of the 1980s and the beginning of the 1990s, the city experienced a frenzied tourist development. In a few years, it has become a sort of small Riviera, as there are many Italians. This is the place to stay if you want to drink a good cappuccino, eat the best pizzas and ice creams in Kenya, party all night or even play toto calcio (Italian sports lotto)! Malindi is a little less typical than the other cities of the coast because the European population is very present. Nevertheless, we can find other charms in Malindi, especially its small city center. From November to March, the winds seriously damage the beauty of the beaches, which then become filled with seaweed and marine waste
