NOTRE-DAME DES VICTORIES CHURCH
Nicknamed Notre-Dame du Sablon, it was built by the crossbowmen's guild in the 16th century in Brabantine Gothic.
Its stained glass windows were among the finest in Europe. Alas, they were shattered by a hailstorm that ravaged Brussels on May 25, 1513. Those that had been spared were destroyed by another storm on August 12, 1763. The current stained glass windows of the church also known as Notre-Dame du Sablon date from 1861. It was built by the crossbowmen's guild in late Brabantine Gothic in the 16th century. The heart of the sanctuary features 11 14-metre-high windows.
