Built in 1874 by the architect Pierre-Victor Jamaer, the King's House is an extraordinary late neo-Gothic building located on the Grand Place, on the site of the bread market (Broodhuis) which existed here in the 13th century. The city museum is a real treasure trove from the Middle Ages to the present day: models of the city, sculptures and fountains, paintings and altarpieces, old maps, tapestries and earthenware made in Brussels. Its centrepiece: the statue of the most famous Brussels ketjes: the Manneken-Pis. Many temporary exhibitions.

The Jean Massart Botanical Garden is a magnificent garden located in Auderghem. It occupies five hectares of farmland near the Rouge-Cloître abbey. The garden is attached to the Faculty of Sciences of the Free University of Brussels and exhibits almost 2000 different species. The garden is divided into several zones, each adapted to the species it houses. These include a medicinal and aromatic plant garden, an evolutionary garden with over 600 species of flowering plants, a cultivated plant garden and an arboretum with many exotic species. A wetland, part of the Natura 2000 network, is also present. A general guided tour is also available.

Ordered under the reign of Leopold II, this long park, which follows the Boulevard Leopold-II, offers a dreamlike view of the Koekelberg basilica. A real photographer's spot! The park's layout evokes the sovereign's monogram, a double "L". On either side of the avenue of trees that forms the perspective, there are small paths, a children's playground and even a kiosk. Popular with local residents from Koekelberg and Ganshoren, this is the home of the Plazey Festival, which takes place at the end of August.
