The Association Young Active in Volunteering and Alternative Travel was established in 1999. As its name indicates, it encourages the active participation of young people in international yards and volunteering. Since 2003, JAVVA has been recognized as a youth organisation by the French community of Belgium.
What do they propose ? Hundreds of yards in different fields, including those relating to the renovation of premises or buildings. For example, restoration of an old water mill in Greece, restoration of a barn or school in Greenland, animation in reception centres for asylum seekers, setting up awareness campaigns, etc.
Where ? Europe, Africa, Asia, Middle East, Latin America, United States, Canada.
Prices and conditions. Some workshops are open to young people aged 15 to 17. We need to be major and training for all shipyards in the countries of the South. The costs of transport are borne by the volunteer. Possibility to leave in EVS.
