BRASSERIE SIGNATURE

Bistro and brasserie €€

Open - Close to 00h00

Signature is the new brasserie that has taken the place of L'Esprit de Sel. First of all, one is attracted by the large terrace on the Place Jourdan. Inside, there are two rooms: one with the atmosphere of a Parisian brasserie with wooden benches and green tiles, the other, more contemporary with white brick walls. Signature embodies the brasserie at its best: traditional dishes cooked with brio and fresh products (especially the lobsters, which you can choose from), accompanied by well-chosen wines. The celebrities who come here are not mistaken!

LE BRUSSELS

French cuisine restaurant €€
Open - Close to 21h30

The urban chaos seems far away in this restaurant with the look of a small country manor. The interior was renovated in early 2022, so here is their large room with a new look. What doesn't change is their vast terrace but also their menu: a classic but well executed Franco-Belgian cuisine with some forays into Italian cuisine (pasta list). The small hungers are not forgotten either with some proposals of type "snacks". The place can also be rented to organize events.

La Soeur du Patron just keeps getting better and better! Going here means discovering nooks and crannies, a gigantic patio with a removable glass roof... The setting is marvellous, raw and brick! The menu is as eclectic as the clientele: pasta, salads, carpaccios, burgers, salads or tartars (try the oriental with potatoes sautéed in harissa). Not forgetting more exotic dishes such as chicken massala, tajines, Bahia moqueca... And also a lounge bar(Le Bar du Patron), to prolong the pleasure.

RELAIS SAINT-JOB

Bistro and brasserie €€

Brasserie cuisine and a Belgian-Brussels atmosphere with the comings and goings of cheerful waiters. Sauerkraut, game, stoemps, products from the peeler's bench and a few classics of bourgeois cuisine, are all served in this former post house known to all! A beautiful outdoor terrace, built on the roof of one of the rooms, lends itself to the most convivial summer meals. Adjacent to the restaurant, the catering area offers an improved everyday cuisine 7 days a week. Some fine products and a nice selection of wines (organic, biodynamic...).

STIRWEN

French cuisine restaurant €€€
4.6/5

François-Xavier Lambory is now at the helm of the Stirwen, next to the Place Jourdan, and it is a success. The short menu is inspired by the repertoire of Franco-Belgian gastronomy and respects the products of the land and sea and the seasons, without betraying what made the founder's success. The cuisine may seem classic at first glance, but the sauces, accompaniments and condiments bring the extra modernity that is the hallmark of the young chef, such as an espuma of green curry that underlines a mackerel cooked with a blowtorch. A great address!

LE VILLANCE

Bistro and brasserie €€

Jean-Luc Collin's beautiful brasserie was born in the 1900s and was then called Café de l'Espérance. It honours the winegrowers with a hundred or so wines on the menu, including quite a few natural or biodynamic wines. Inside, there is a restaurant area, a brasserie area and an open kitchen where you can keep an eye on the brasserie or local dishes, good cuts of meat or offal such as brains and marrow bones. Non-stop scaling and take-away seafood, suggestions and excellent lunch. Pleasant and professional service.

To say that this is a trendy brasserie would be an understatement. The Art Nouveau decor and atmosphere are very pleasant and the terrace offers a free observation point of the passers-by. But the main motivation for a visit remains the menu. The beer menu (more than 90 beers, 6 of which are on draught) and the brewery dishes. The quality depends on the day. At times it is very good, at others the cooking is below their capabilities, but this shows that the cuisine is not formatted. A positive point, in short.

LES FRÈRES ROMANO

This restaurant is not at the cutting edge of modernity? No matter, this cuisine has been a success for more than thirty years. You can enjoy bourgeois dishes and it would be a mistake to forget this beautiful restaurant. We will evoke a sharp classicism where the French cuisine plays its scales. A few pasta dishes are a reminder of Pascal Romano's transalpine origins. The service is provided with elegance while you are comfortably seated. The setting and the bright decoration of this 1900's style house offer refinement as a guiding principle. A must!
