Kuélap itself is the most emblematic archaeological site in the north of Peru and is at one with the landscape. It can be reached from the village of Nuevo Tingo below, the starting point for the shuttle bus for the cable car that dominates the landscape and allows easier access to the site, the only one in Peru at the moment. The village is small and almost entirely devoted to tourism. There are a few decent and inexpensive addresses that change often. Below, along the Utcubamba Valley, we will find lodge hotels in the heart of nature which also constitute perfect addresses to visit the surrounding sites.
