They are the big ones in the local market and their groups are large in size to reduce costs. We will choose them rather for day trips like paragliding (in tandem in the Cordillera Negra), rafting (level III to V), mountain bike or climbing. Their trek in Santa Cruz or the Cordillera Huayhuash are the cheapest of the market, with a service accordingly: not very talkative guides, basic services. Good for small budgets and if you are ready to go with a large group for several days of hiking.

Originality

We called on the Monttrek agency to organise trekking of Santa Cruz. We negotiated a total price of 300 soles for 3 days/2 nights (when the majority of people do it into 4 jours/3 nights which allows you to take your time). It is very convenient to go through an agency for the transportation of equipment and food. Otherwise our guides were clearly not essential (very little information during trekking, often very far behind, did not share meals with us…).
With that, the mountains of the national park of Huascaran are breathtaking. Trekking of Santa Cruz is a true wonder that I recommend without hesitation only one second.
