Halfway between Huanuco and Pucallpa, this small city suffered from a bad reputation because of the narcotraffickers who raged in the area. Things have calmed down and its natural riches are being rediscovered. Very little tourist, it gains to be known.Located in the selva alta, at an altitude of 652 meters, 135 km from Huánuco and 300 km from Pucallpa, the youngest city of the selva was born just over fifty years ago. The climate here is very hot (average of 23°C) and humid (humidity of 78%). The city celebrates San Juan on June 24, the Fiestas Patrias on July 28 and 29 and its foundation on October 15.
