The ruins of the capital of the Wari Empire, built around 600 ha. J is located 20 km from Ayacucho. It recognizes the classic pattern of urban centres at the time: administrative, religieu, housing and production sectors. The three-storey stone constructions immediately draw attention: it is assumed that nobles were buried there. The rest consists of aqueducts, underground passages that could have hidden graves, a strange and monumental stone table, houses with ovens and an amphitheatre.
