A warm and relaxed restaurant with a small, well-ventilated and very pleasant garden terrace at lunchtime and an open fire in the evening around beautiful wooden tables in various shapes. Without being gourmet it is elegant and very well presented. They serve a classic and successful Peruvian cuisine. Many of the products are local, even the local draft beer from Cerveceria del Valle. We liked the creamy aji de gallina. The portions are generous as they often are. The service is attentive. In short, a very good option.

MULLU

Mullu is an art gallery and craft shop on the ground floor selling t-shirts and paintings, and a rather simple café/resto upstairs with a few small tables and colourful walls. You can try the tajine de cordero or the Thai curry and other exotic flavours. Nice little terrace and balcony overlooking the Plaza. It's slow, but as usual. Sometimes music and events in the evening which is a real plus in this very quiet village. To test, the establishment had just been taken again and it has the merit to change a little the menu.

DOÑA CLORINDA

Regional cuisine restaurant

A country restaurant, on the banks of the Urubamba river and next to the Paz y Luz lodge. The menu is typical of the classic Peruvian gastronomy with trout, beef or chicken in all sauces. Special mention for the lomo saltado. Andean dishes as specialties, including an excellent quinoa soup. The place is nice with colorful frescos and beams on the ceiling. Many groups stop here. The view of the mountains and the large garden make it a different place to take the time to enjoy the surrounding nature.
