The Festival of the Sun of the Incas is staged with costumes and music in the fortress overlooking Cusco.
The Inti Raymi (in honour of the Sun) is probably the most famous indigenous festival in Latin America. For as much, it is not a question of a folklore just good to attract the amateur photographers... Archaeologists and historians of Cusco have been able to establish a ceremony very faithful to the spirit of the Incas, in the fortress of Sacsayhuaman. Free seats with the crowd on the heights of the site. Nevertheless, you can see and hear much better if you pay for your seat. Great show and processions in the whole city.
