The village boasts two churches, San Juan and San Pedro, both of which are true architectural jewels. The second one is the only representative for the Altiplano of the Mudejar-Moorish style. Located 35 km from Puno, it looks like a corner of Andalusia at 3,848 meters above sea level, surrounded by meadows where llamas graze, with Lake Titicaca in the background. A paradise for photographers. Without deserving a prolonged stop, if you opt for this road on the way to Desaguadero with a private driver, do not hesitate to mark the stop. There are also 10 pre-Hispanic chullpas ( Lupaca culture) on the bangs of Mount Molluco that are worth a visit.
