The village, clinging to the slope at 2,680 m, is little known to travellers. The fatigue of the trip is softened by the beauty of the landscapes which have nothing to envy to the Cañon del Colca: the Cotahuasi cañon is the deepest in the world. The river has carved its meanders into the cliffs from which waterfalls flow, such as Sipia (150 m waterfall) or Uskune.Nearby, hot springs bubble up between 40 and 100°C, which can be enjoyed in Luicho, and no less than eight lagoons offer their green hue to the coquetries of the nevados who have taken a dip in them: Solimana, Coropuna, Firuta; without forgetting the Inca ruins of Maauk Allajía or Uma Qacho.
