The village of Yanque, situated at an altitude of 3,417 m and irrigated by imposing ándenes, is home to a jewel of a 17th-century baroque church: the Iglesia de la Inmaculada Concepcion. The exterior façade is a garden of stone flowers, the sides are decorated with two mermaids, a lion and a dragon, and the interior has magnificent gilded altarpieces. This small village has kept its customs and if you come early in the morning, it is very likely that you will see young children in traditional costumes dancing. It becomes a bit of a tourist attraction, but it is still nice to see
