Chivay is located at an altitude of 3,633 meters. You can be seduced by the small artisanal market just to the left of the church, which offers embroideries characteristic of the region.The provincial capital offers a few lodges a bit out of the way and many addresses for backpackers. Many buffet restaurants and peñas. It is more of a big town of passage to which one has difficulty in finding charm, but it is a good base to explore the surroundings, being the central point in particular of transport.The five thermal water pools, at 32 and 40°C, are very pleasant to relax in and are the main interest of this village.
