The elaborate ceiling of the courtroom, the cells with walls full of graffiti drawn by the prisoners and the reproductions of the instruments of torture used by the tribunal of the Holy Office take us back to ancient times when the Catholic religion imposed itself by iron and fire on the Indians of the Americas. The staging is rather simple, but this visit is important if you want to immerse yourself in the historical reality of the country.

Pour ce qui sont intéressés par cette période de l'histoire, ce musée explique parfaitement l'histoire de l'Inquisition en Europe et son instauration au Pérou. La salle d'audience du Tribunal possède un splendide plafond en bois sculpté.
