Petit Futé's opinion on EL CORDANO
Located just opposite the magnificent Casa de la Literatura, this institution, which has more than a century on its books, has lost none of its outdated charm (high ceilings, small round tables made of wrought iron, a bar as long as the white apron of outdated servers is). You can find all the classics of Peruvian gastronomy as well as sandwiches. Try butifarra (a traditional ham sandwich with onions on the bone) or tamal (corn-based) with its small coffee with milk to start the day off right. Or the pisco sour to finish it.
