This line was painfully designed in the second half of the 19th century. Over 335 km, the train crosses 58 bridges, 69 tunnels and 1,154 bends. Highest point: 4,818 m in altitude! This mythical route even inspired The Temple of the Sun. The seats are comfortable but only the "tourist class" passengers have access to the open-air bar car (ideal for photos). 12 hours drive, breakfast and lunch included. Commentary in French.
