Beautiful, modern municipal market where you can find Loja do Triângulo, a cooperative offering products from the triangle.
Closed for over 3 years, the municipal market recently reopened its doors. You'll see for yourself: it's beautiful and modern, and the city wants to make it the lively heart of Horta. Inside, you'll find pretty little stalls where you can stock up on fresh produce, as well as great places to nibble, have a drink or even buy a few souvenirs. You'll also find the "Loja do Triângulo", a cooperative offering exclusively products from the triangle (Faial-Pico-São Jorge): cheese, fruit, meat, honey, wine..

Ce marché vaut le détour pour ceux qui aime cela. On peut y trouver des fruits, légumes, mais aussi des plantes, graines ou alcool. Pas ou peu d'artisanat.

Nous sommes passés en fin de journée, quasiment à l'heure de fermeture du marché, beaucoup de stands étaient déjà fermés mais nous avons pu trouver de la délicieuse viande de boeuf locale, à un prix défiant toute concurrence!! Idéal si on peut cuisiner dans son logement, les vendeurs sont plus agréables que dans les magasins classiques.
